ROCK SCRAMBLING
What do we mean, “rock scrambling”?
To go up mountains where you have to use your hands. Rock Scrambles
are graded 1 –3. 1 being just the use of your hands,
grade 3 is verging on easier rock climbs and will require the
use of a rope for protection.
This course is for the hill walker who would like to experience
something more challenging or for those who want to be eased
into the world of climbing.
We run an INTRODUCTORY scrambling course up to grade 2 with an intro to ropes
.We also look at the use of guidebooks route finding, safe movement on steep
ground and the use of a rope in emergencies.
Or the ADVANCED course for those who are more familiar with mountain walking
a rope for safety. Subjects covered include use of a guidebook, route finding,

We
have a very personal and flexible approach to our courses
and in the content of actual course material. The above
are just guidelines. In
fact we dislike the use of the word course and client.
We invite you to come as friends and we will share our
experience and love of the outdoors with you.
